The new and long announced full album 'industrial owes us money' (ant-zen records) was presented first at the 10th anniversary edition of the legendary maschinenfest festival in Krefeld, Germany, first weekend of october 2008.

hypnoskull's 8th full album contains collaborations with belgian acts cyboresis (grindcore / breakcore)and sada(doomhop from antwerp). From the Netherlands, dead.circuit collaborated in one track, and the Russian federation is represented by irka G. and breakcore madman atarix, both Moscow-based. Last but not least is a collaboration with californian based pyroclastic(usa) and with them hypnoskull managed to do a great version of the dead kennedys' classic 'california über alles'.

The album contains 15 tracks, held together by a bunch of audiocollages representing massmedia hysterics for the full 110%.

the hypnoskull set at maschinenfest became one giant party, being kicked off by a funny opening inspired by the moment and on the spot. Next up were mainly live versions of the album and also some try outs of some previously released tracks from 'savage lands' (by at the coreline media shop !) and some elements of the upcoming stuff (12" split with ladyscraper !) for noizetek records.

recently the defunct ultra house publishing concept was revived again at escape 3 organisation to form an on-demand production unit with some producers of electronic music based in belgium. the aim is to create tracks for commercials, film, websites and all kinds of projects, but with a very different approach. all info can be found on their myspace site.
some fresh news these days for another collaboration by hypnoskull, this time with dutch mastermind producer KUBUS who made serious stuff with dutch hiphoppers like duvel duvel and jawat and known for his recent work with U.K. mc BangBang... His 'buitenwesten', top notch records, album is for hypnoskull THE reference in dutch language hiphop. what this collaboration will bring : no one knows... but will be phat for sure. it's the time for maschinenfest again (this year from the 12th to the 14th of october) so everyone we know is in absolute deadlinestress again. for those who never ever been on the festival, it's an absolute tip for discovering projects within the field of newschool industrial up to ambient and even breakcore... so we managed to miss out on the deadline for the config.sys hypnoskull remix described in a previous post on this page... hell. so we switched plans with config.sys and hypnoskull will now do a remix for their project called contaminant.
